Chad Lozano
Aka Invader Kush
Cannabis Advocate, Veteran, New Mexican
I’ve spent the last 12+ years deep in the heart of New Mexico’s cannabis movement—not as an outsider looking in, but as someone who’s lived every twist and turn of the journey. From the early medical-only days to the legalization of adult-use cannabis, I’ve been in the room, on the ground, and in the fight.
I served in the U.S. Army as a 35M Human Intelligence Collector with the 25th Infantry Division and deployed to Iraq in 2009. After coming home, I found my way into cannabis—not just as a patient, but as someone who understood the healing power of the plant and wanted to make sure others had access to it, too.
Over the years, I’ve helped push policy forward—sitting on SM 105, a legislative task force aimed at updating our medical cannabis laws, and contributing to language in the Cannabis Regulation Act that made adult-use legalization a reality in New Mexico. I was part of the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Patients Advocacy Alliance from 2017 to 2020, a three-time award-winning advocacy group that helped shape protections for patients and providers.
Whether it’s testifying at city council, speaking out about federal overreach at Border Patrol checkpoints, or conducting the Industry Sesh Town Halls, my work has always been rooted in truth, transparency, and a deep love for this state and its people.
I also host a podcast, Ask Chad: Grassy Logic, where I interview folks across the cannabis space—from legacy growers to lawmakers—to break down what’s really happening in our industry.
This website was created as a space where I can share ideas, information, and anything else cannabis-related—free from the constant censorship and shadowbanning that comes with posting on social media platforms. Here, the conversation stays open, honest, and unfiltered—just like it should be.
This work isn’t about hype—it’s about people. It’s about ensuring our communities have a say in how cannabis is rolled out, who benefits, and how we protect our plant, our culture, and our future.
I’m not here to sell you anything—I’m here to keep showing up, telling the truth, and pushing this movement forward.
The name Invader Kush comes from my late dog, Kush—a pup I got while stationed in Hawaii. He lived to be 11 years old and truly invaded my life in the best way possible. He didn’t just change it—he saved it. This name is for him.
